René Freichel
Postdoctoral Researcher
I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Center for Urban Mental Health at the University of Amsterdam. My research focuses on understanding the dynamics of psychopathology and suicidal thinking using advanced quantitative approaches. I work with a variety of methods, including large-scale cohort studies, ecological momentary assessment, and both online and laboratory experiments.
Methodologically, my interests include machine learning, symptom network modeling, and time-series analyses in both panel and intensive longitudinal designs. In addition to my research, I am pursuing postgraduate psychotherapy training in Germany. My clinical work is grounded in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT).
